To demonstrate the principle of pressure transmission in fluids and the mechanical working of a force pump. Comprises cylinder made of borosilicate glass with bent delivery nozzle/outlet fitted at the top and piston housing and metal hook for manual actuation attached tubing at lower outlet and beaker to collect liquid. Mounted on wooden stand.
Working Principle:
On downward stroke of the piston, water is forced out through the delivery tube.
Demonstrates conversion of mechanical force into fluid displacement.
Helps explain Pascal’s Law and the functioning of mechanical pumps.
