To demonstrate the working of lungs, air pressure, and breathing mechanism (inhalation/exhalation). Consists of two high quality balloons made of rubber acting as lungs, Flexible rubber sheet secured at the bottom as diaphragm, Y-shaped tubing to connect balloons to stopper (Trachea) sealing the top with air-tight fit housed in transparent bell jar 25 x 15 cm.
Functionality:
Demonstrates inhalation and exhalation through pressure variation.
Pulling the rubber sheet downward increases the volume inside the jar (simulating diaphragm contraction) causing balloons to inflate.
Releasing the sheet simulates exhalation (diaphragm relaxation), causing balloons to deflate.
