To demonstrate the torsional oscillations and mechanical resonance of suspended systems. Comprises wooden box fitted with sliding sliding glass doors. Suspension rod made of glass mounted vertically on top of box with clamp for suspension thread silk fibre attachment. Top metallic clamp with fine adjustment screw for alignment, a brass stirrup to carry magnets etc. The base of box is fitted with a mirror strip, with a longitudinal index line. Adjustable feet fitted with 3 levelling screws for horizontal alignment.
