MODEL OF A GERMINATION OF DICOT PEA SEED

SKU: GI-BM7002 Categories: ,

Description

This model illustrates the sequential stages of germination and early growth in a dicot seed (pea). It is designed to clearly demonstrate the developmental process and includes numbered parts with an English key card for easy identification.

The stages represented are:

  1. Sectional view of a pea seed.
  2. Emergence of the radicle.
  3. Elongation of the epicotyl, which remains curved within the soil with the plumule at its tip.
  4. The epicotyl emerging and gradually straightening, while the primary root develops secondary roots; the shoot appears with a few scales and young leaves.

Mounted on a sturdy base, this model serves as an excellent teaching aid for studying dicot seed germination and seedling development.
