This Robinson’s cup anemometer comprises 4 lightweight, plastic, hemispherical cups mounted at the end of lightweight metal spokes and attached to a central hub. The hub pivoted on metal shaft on top of a vertical support rod on a stable base and is capable of rotating freely about vertical axis. Three cups are black and one red to facilitate counting of rotations per unit time.
