This apparatus is used to demonstrate Newton’s First Law of Motion — the principle of inertia. Consists of vertical cylindrical rod mounted on the base made of cast iron and metal release plate with low friction surface with suspended loop thread or thin wire. Adjustable spring-loaded plunger with knurled knob. Complete with 1 steel ball, 1 thread loop and adjustable release spring.
