LATENT HEAT OF STEAM APPARATUS

SKU: GI-P5023 Categories: ,

Description

Designed to experimentally determine the latent heat of vaporization (steam) using calorimetry by condensing steam into a known mass of water. Comprises a brass calorimeter and rubber stopper with inlet tube for receiving steam. Copper steam generated fitted with rubber stopper with delivery tube (steam outlet) steam vent out through nozzle.

Operating Principle: (NOT MEANT FOR CATALOGUE)

  • Steam from the generator passes into the brass calorimeter, condensing and releasing latent heat.
  • By measuring the rise in temperature of a known mass of water in the calorimeter, the latent heat of steam (L) can be calculated using calorimetry.

CALORIMETER SIMPLE

Used to determine the specific heat capacity of solids and liquids by measuring heat transfer during a temperature change. Rolled edge to prevent spillage.
