Description

Lee’s Thermal Apparatus for determining a bad conductor’s thermal conductivity. A steam chest made of brass nickel-plated to the same height and with riffled inlet and outlet tubes, both of which have radial holes for insertion of thermometers, sits atop a cylindrical metal slab that is nickel-plated and has a diameter of 110 mm and a thickness of 12 mm. On a retort stand with a rectangular metal base, the apparatus is suspended by strings that are attached to the lower slab. complete with one each of glass disc specimens and an ebonite annulus for measuring liquid conductivity. Supplied without thermometers.
