Used in calorimetry and thermal experiments to transfer heat energy through steam to another body (such as water or metal blocks) without direct flame contact. Cylindrical vessel made from copper 180x115mm with filling tube, steam vent and vertical tube. Brass side nozzles for steam inlet and outlet connection. Inside the central tube, there is a brass tube that fits snugly and can slide up and down. The brass tube has a lower angle cut, which effectively seals the chute.
